"Honor Flight" Official Trailer |
Student Veterans of America is proud to sponsor a screening of the film Honor Flight at Quad Cinema in New York City this Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Honor Flight is an intimate portrait of four World War II veterans in the last chapter of their lives and a community coming together to honor them with a trip of a lifetime. A number of WWII veterans will be in attendance at the special screening, including Jerry Yellin who flew the final mission of WWII from Iwo Jima on August 15, 1945.
"1,000 WWII vets die every day," say Clay Broga and Dan Hayes, the film's director-producer duo. "Our goal is to pay them tribute and to challenge Americans, particularly younger generations, to reflect on the freedom and opportunity we have... because of what these men and women did." Join community members and leaders this Sunday in thanking these veterans, and all of those across the country, for their service and sacrifice.
