Summary
For years, Amber Griffiths has worked tirelessly as the Manager of Military & Veteran Affairs a Columbia University, serving the entire population of veterans by herself while continuing her education. With great diligence and professionalism, she ensures that every student veteran has a foundation for success when reaching our university. Her caring personality and warm smile only supplement her complete desire to support our veterans. When faced with the daunting and complex labyrinth that is the Department of Veteran Affairs, Amber is our champion. "Above and beyond" does not come close to representing her work ethic.
Many veterans know how easily benefits, claims, services, and support can turn from good to bad when incompetent people are put in charge of their execution. In the case of Columbia University, Amber takes these programs and opportunities from good to excellent. She is irreplaceable and a blessing to us all. She is more than an employee, she is a true patriot.
Sadly, Amber is leaving her position at the end of 2013 in order to finish her graduate degree as a full time student. As that stands, now is the time for one final gesture of our gratitude.
