The results are in! Meet your 2012-13 Milvets Executive Board.
All elected officials will officially take their post at the close of the spring semester. Congradulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who voted.
President:Richard Baldassari

Richard Baldassari previously served six years in the United States Air Force as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller in the Tactical Air Control Party.
Richard joined the military in 2004 and was stationed in Korea and Germany, with three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Richard began attending the School of General Studies at Columbia University in the fall of 2010. He is now a sophomore in pursuit of a B.S. in Political Science.
After joining the Milvets in 2010, Richard has led the Veterans for Higher Education Committee, managed the Milvets Constitution Working Group, and currently holds the executive board position of Secretary. In addition to his Milvets activities, he is a part of various volunteer projects and the Men’s Lacrosse club-team.

Nicholas Lozano served seven years in United States Marine Corps. Nicholas joined the Marines in 2003 and served as a Rifleman, Team Leader, and Squad Leader during his deployments to East Africa and Iraq.
Nicholas began attending the School of General Studies in the fall of 2010. He is now a junior pursuing a bachelors degree in sociology with a concentration in business management.
Nicholas has been deeply involved with Milvets since his arrival in the fall of 2010. He currelty holds the executive board position of Communications Director for Milvets. In addition to his activities with Milvets and other veteran organizations Nicholas serves on the board of the Sailors and Soldiers Memorial Association (SSMA).

Mario Figeueroa served four years in United States Marine Corpsas as an Infantry Rifleman, Team Leader, and Squad Leader. During his time with the Marines, he served two tours—one to Okinawa and one combat tour in support of OIF.
Mario began attending the School of General Studies in the fall of 2009. He is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in English Literature with a concentration in Philosophy
Since his release from active duty Mario has been very active in the veteran’s service community—working for the California State Veterans Affairs Benefits office from 2005-2006, holding the elected position of Junior Vice Commandant of his Marine Corps League Detachment in Folsom, Ca, volunteering for a number of veteran service organizations in his home state of Wisconsin, and currently, serving as Staff Writer/Editor and Public Relations Officer for United War Veterans Council a 501 (c) (19) that operates in New York City to honor the service of all of our countries veterans.

Fahad began attending the School of General Studies at Columbia University in the spring of 2011. He is now a junior in pursuit of a B.S. in Economics/Political Science.
Joining the Milvets in 2011, Fahad has been deeply involved with veterans organizations working for both Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America and the Office of Strategic Partnerships. Fahad currently holds the position of Social Media Coordinator for Milvets.
